Personal Struggles

Once in awhile, obstacles arise that leave us feeling overwhelmed, in despair, discouraged, resentful, lonely, and confused. Knowing there is someone to listen and relate to our experiences helps guide you through the battle.

Abusive Relationships

The games an abusive partner plays with your emotions can make a person feel crazy. If you believe you have identified some behaviours that may be abusive (physical, emotional, psychological) do not ignore the problem, it won’t go away.

Couples and Families

As individuals, we come from differing personal backgrounds, experiences, value systems, cultural perspectives, and views of what it means to be in a relationship. This discrepancy can lead to disharmony within a family and a need for repair.

It all started

Growing up on the South Shore of Montreal in a small rural community where my family were the only English speaking. Life was not always easy, and my parents raised their family in what was deemed unconventional for the times. As a result of this “unique” upbringing, my views of myself, my community, and the world around me was expanded to recognize life is more than only what I have experienced.

Having a child of my own further changed my perspective of the world and the lessons I wanted him to learn from me. To show kindness and compassion to those who are in need, to listen with no judgement to those who live life differently than my own. The importance of recognizing that all living things are entitled to the necessities of life, and the strength that is required to reach out when you need help.

“What is to give light, must first endure burning” -Viktor Frankl, Holocaust survivor, physician, and psychiatrist.

This is my vision for myself, my son, and my clients: To live by these words and approach all with the respect and empathy they deserve.
